"Sinking feeling", lol

Kitchen sink stopped up, both sides.  One has a disposal, that clogged first, when unclogged it comes up in the other side....  Shower drain retains some water also....   Thinking it's either one huge veggie clog or....time to empty the septic tank....  Both are new occurrences.   Have tried a plunger in the kitchen.  Debating about trying an auger....  Have opened the outside trap, water flows freely to the septic, so that is good.  Calling plumbers....they want $80 no matter what and time includes trip time.....

Well.....

Yes, all is well, but not necessarily according strictly to our 5-5-5 plan....  I won't bore us with the sundry food items I have eaten (cashews, popcorn, Mary's Gone Crackers, a complete free catered dinner....) - Oh, I listed them anyway...., but I am gratefully and totally back on Day 5 of the purely juicing part.  The catered dinner 11-14 was delicious, and all was to have been gluten free except the rolls from which I abstained.  Even the cheesecake, I was told when inquiring, had nut crust, so was gluten free.....however.....it wasn't as presented.....  The intended cheesecakes for our group of less than 20 had been dropped (they called it a mishap) and replaced with store bought cheesecakes, delicious BTW, but made with graham cracker crust.    And so, not in a method of choosing, for 18 hours I was able to lose more weight frequently......  The caterer and hosts were sorry, but not as sorry as I.....  We also attended a Branson music show, SIX, but I couldn't stay seated all through it.  Sigh.  Was able to teach Zumba at the high school yesterday, though I was unsure till it went OK.  Fine now.

Possibly found the green tea made by King Royal and suggested by Skinny Vic.  It states that it is "no caffeine added", whatever that means?   Doesn't say that any has been taken away either, though  :-)    It was an adventure to shop at a Korean market - lots of gift items also.  Purchased several bags of seaweed for soup and rice noodles for later.  They had some fresh produce. Found the tea at an Asian Market which had extensive frozen foods too.

Have just learned of a Well Fed Neighbor grocery store in nearby Springfield, MO and have yet to check out the brand new Hy-V grocery store further away in Springfield.  Mama Jean's was out of spinach last time I shopped and Wal*Mart's organic spinach is more expensive.  So, shopping potential indeed!

The leaves have turned red/orange on a small maple tree in the front yard and I can see a small bird's nest in it as high as it can be!  Breeze has the remaining leaves horizontal to the still green grass.

tonight.....dance marathon at Drury College!

Just got together a playlist that I like for tonight's Zumba part of the Drury Dance Marathon for Children's miracle Network, it is planned for 11pm.  Not sure why it took so long, but it finally seems like fun and a good example for Zumba.  It is cold and windy here, no rain at this time.  Need to Google where to park on campus....

Dinner from Day 5 is just finishing cooking on the stove, it was fun to put it together too  :-)

Oh, it was fun at the Drury Dance marathon!  The students pick up the dances so quickly and I really like their smiles!  Yay Zumba!

Day 4 of 5-5-5

Once a month I lead Zumba Gold at a neighboring nursing home and it's always a mystery about folk's mood and participation each time, and today they definitely did the arm movements.  It's always done sitting in regular or wheelchairs, but we do leg positions anyway.  One client took the hand of another participant who mainly sat there and swung it gently in perfect rhythm.  Soon both were smiling.  Dance is wonderous!

This was fun to do, took a cooler of food to my husband while he "baby sat" the art gallery, his once a month turn.  Took large salad with greens, avacado, onion, tomato; last night's soup of squash, carrots, tomatoes, onions, garlic; salt; home made salad dressing; herbal tea.  It was a feast!  Really enjoyed tonight's meal of zuchini, tomatoes, onions, basil, celery leaves, olive oil, salt and pepper.  The sweet potato/carrot fries were excellent as always.

And, another plus during the day was to purchase a Danskin top at Wal*Mart for exercise.  They were out of 12-14 large, so...on a whim I purchased 8-10 and....it fits!!!!!!!

Our son has begun some sort of techy job with AT&T and is in a probation period.  While he was training for a month in Dallas, the mother of our granddaughter totaled his car swerving to miss a dog.  He is 45 miles away from his work check in point.....  Once a week we have been driving to pick him up to go to work and, when he calls that it is finished, pick him up to take him home (36 miles from our home to his).  He is about ready to purchase another vehicle and this will simplify life since we don't know when his day will be completed.  He has watched FSND and is inheriting our Jack LaLanne juicer to start on it when he is ready.

And so, Day 4 of 5-5-5 Reboot well completed.  Weight is down just a tad from where I ended up on the first 5-5-5 go-round.  This is encouraging!  I'm actually eager for the 5 days of pure juicing....

reboot 2, already

Today begins Standard Reboot, again, for my husband and me.  After a week of eating just lots of salty things mainly and some sugar and some excellent foods and some fine juices with the new juicer, we were gaining weight back, not feeling so "special" nor fit and at a loss to continue with the good choices.  Sort of needing the structure of given menus.  Will be more fun and tastier with the masticating juicer too!  I've been searching on the web for additional juicing recipes for afterwards.  The first 5-5-5- session was awesome.  We want that again.  So, this has been our Day 1 and well done  :-)  I felt good teaching Zumba class and practicing for it and that is important to me for sure.

I'm here...

Having juice once a day, smoothie to begin the day, yesterday had juice twice - a fruit juice with a zumba friend and then later mean green.  Been having the mean green daily.  Need to learn to pour from the Omega 8004 collecting container without spilling.....  Very pleased with the quantity of green juices from spinach and kale.  Tomatoes are OK, but seem to not really get juiced all the way.  Tomatoes from the garden still sit on newspapers on the living room floor, the dogs have begun to "play" with a few of them and today I discovered small ants were enjoying some of the more ripe ones....  Last night my husband and I ate at a restaurant and heard blues harmonica fellow JimiLee from Austin play for almost 3 hours, really rocking!  JimiLee also plays guitar.  The meal was excellent of chicken with balsamic vinegar, wild rice and green beans, but the tab was outlandish....over $43 with tip for two of us.....  We had thought that it was included in the birthday party.....  Well, enjoyed the evening very much in spite of the surprise bill.  We were given cake (not I, gluten) and T-shirts about the blues.  Tonight I replaced my stock of "Better than Bouillon" vegetable base, Wal*Mart carries the brand but not for vegetable.   We are biding our time to begin again on a 5-5-5 reboot with the new juicer....  Won't be tomorrow because of wanting to finish some food left overs first.
